  • 1988
    • Ege Soğutmacılık A.Ş. was founded in İzmir.
    • Ege Soğutmacılık A.Ş. designed the first air conditioner for buses and produced it successfully.

  • 1990
    • The first midi-bus air conditioners were designed by the company.
    • Safkar Klima Ltd was founded in İzmir region then involved in the group.

  • 1991
    • The company exported the first air conditioner for buses to the Middle East market.

  • 1992
    • The first engine driven frigorific system was introduced into Turkish market.
    • The first OEM Midibus air conditioner was delivered to Mitsubishi-Temsa.

  • 1994
    • The first air conditioner unit for an Agriculture and Construction machine was introduced into the market.

  • 1995
    • The company has increased the sales potential in the Far East markets of air conditioners for buses and kept on developing.
    • Ege Soğutmacılık A.Ş. redesigned and modernized the production process.

  • 1997
    • The company expanded the commercial activities in European markets.

  • 1998
    • Along with İstanbul subway construction, the first air conditioner for railway vehicles was produced.
    • Air conditioners for two armored vehicles were produced.
    • Directly and indirectly exported the air conditioner and cooler systems to Algeria.
    • The production plant was moved to company’s own land on an area of 4080 m².

  • 1999
    • All ambulances of Ministry of Health were equipped with the air conditioners produced by the company.
    • The portable Link stations of Turkcell were equipped with the air conditioners.

  • 2000
    • IN Algeria, Safkar Algeria was founded and started operation.

  • 2001
    • The operator compartment of Ankara – İstanbul 14000 series suburb trains were equipped with air conditioners.
    • ISO TUV 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate was awarded.

  • 2002
    • The first domestic product was installed in the passenger compartments of intercity TVS 2000 trains of Turkish National Railways.
    • ES 700 TVS equipment was designed.
    • ES 345 T air conditioners were developed for military shelter use in the defense industry.

  • 2003
    • The operator compartments of Ankara – İstanbul 14000 series suburb trains were equipped with ES 254AS air conditioners.
    • ISO TUV 9002 Quality Assurance Certificate was renewed as ISO TUV 9001:2000.

  • 2004
    • The new series i.e. P200, P210, P230 and P240 cooling equipment were produced.
    • In September, İstanbul Public Passenger bus A 241 and the passenger bus 92 - 214 of IETT were equipped with the air conditioning system and introduced to the local people living in İstanbul.

  • 2005
    • A business partnership was established with TEMSA granting it to be the 100% system supplier.
    • A business partnership was established with OTOYOL granting it to be the 100% air conditioner supplier.
    • For the organization İzmir UNIVERSIADE games, 120 busses under property of the municipality were equipped with air conditioners within 20 days.
    • The first ceiling type ES 800 TVS air conditioner was produced for N13 type passenger compartments of Turkish National Railways.

  • 2006
    • In September, İzmir ESHOT purchased 60 BMC busses equipped with SAFKAR air conditioners. (ES350XT).
    • In December, İZMİR IZULAŞ purchased 50 OTOYOL E 50 vehicles equipped with SAFKAR air conditioners.

  • 2007
    • The quality assurance certificate ISO/TS 16949:2002 in automotive industry was awarded.
    • Quality assurance certificate EMC for electrical devices was awarded for the air conditioners.

  • 2008
    • The railed system air conditioner agreement was held with our Malaysian dealer and then the production started.
    • The first ceiling type ES 300 TVS air conditioner was designed for the generator compartments of Turkish National Railways then the production was started.
    • Ege Soğutmacılık took the part among the first seven companies who had been granted the R&D central certificate subject to the provisions of R&D Law that was put into full force on 01.04.2008 thus the company experienced a rightful pride among the Aegean Industrial organizations.
    • The various three R&D projects were approved by the national institutes such as TTGV and TEYDEP.
    • Our R&D department was moved to the new building and a new SAFKAR R&D Center was established.
    • 50 public passenger busses of İETT were equipped with air conditioners.
    • Antalya Public Bus Organization purchased 550 ISUZU midi-busses equipped with SAFKAR air conditioners.

  • 2009
    • Ege Soğutmacılık A.Ş. joined in ABAŞ Group.
    • İzmir ESHOT purchased 200 BMC busses equipped with SAFKAR air conditioners (ES350XT).
    • The one thousandth cooling equipment was delivered to Iran.
