    • Ege Soğutmacılık PLC established in Izmir
    • Ege Soğutmacılık PLC successfully completes the design and manufacture of its first proprietary bus air-conditioner.

  • 1990
    • The firm’s first proprietary midibus air-conditioner design project completed.
    • Established in the Izmir Region, Safkar Klima Ltd. joins the firm.

  • 1991
    • First bus air-conditioner exported to the Middle East market.

  • 1992
    • First vehicle engine-powered transport refrigerator marketed in Turkey.
    • First OEM midibus air-conditioner delivered to TEMSA.

  • 1997
    • Operations in European markets expanded.

  • 2000
    • Safkar Algeria commences production upon establishment in Algeria

  • 2001
    • Air-conditioner developed for engineer’s cabin on 14000 series commuter trains in Ankara and Istanbul.
    • ISO TUV 9002 quality certificate received.

  • 2003
    • ES 254AS air-conditioner developed for engineer’s cabin on 14000 series commuter trains in Ankara and Istanbul.
    • ISO TUV 9002 quality certificate upgraded to ISO TUV 9001:2000.

  • 2004
    • Production of new series of cooling devices P200, P210, P230, and P240 commences.
    • Vehicle A 241 of the Istanbul Privately Owned Public Bus Fleet and vehicle 92-214 of the Istanbul Bus Administration (IETT) fitted with air-conditioners in September for the benefit of Istanbul commuters.

  • 2005
    • Operations commence in the role of 100-percent system supplier to TEMSA.
    • Operations commence in the role of 100-percent air-conditioner supplier to OTOYOL.
    • 120 municipal buses fitted with air-conditioners in 20 days for the UNIVERSIADE games in Izmir.
    • First ceiling type air-conditioner ES 800 TVS manufactured for Turkish Railways Administration’s N13 type passenger cars.

  • 2007
    • Automotive industry’s quality assurance certificate ISO/TS 16949:2002 received.
    • Electrical quality certificate EMC received for air-conditioners.

  • 2008
    • Contract signed with Malaysia dealer for air-conditioners for railway vehicles. Production started.
    • First ceiling type ES 300 TVS air-conditioner developed for Turkish Railways Administration’s power generator cars. Orders received, production started.
    • Ege Soğutmacılık PLC becomes one of the first 7 firms in Turkey to receive an R&D center certificate under the R&D Law that became effective on 1 April

  • 2009
    • The ABAŞ Group acquires Ege Soğutmacılık PLC.
    • 1,000th cooling device shipped to Iran.
